Platinum 2mm width, pave set rose-cut diamond, full eternity ring.
The ring features white rose-cut diamonds in a pave setting with a fine mill grain edge.
A tiny panel has the hand engraved Latin inscription 'ad infinitum'
('for evermore' or 'eternally').
This ring has been entirely handmade [as opposed to cast] by our skilled mounter here in London which means that every ring is unique.
Rose-cut diamonds are an historical cut dating back to the 1400s, they have a different shape to the usual modern cut diamond, they are flat at the bottom and have a faceted dome on the top, which resembles an opening rosebud.
Mill grain edge finish was a popular design from the 1800s up to the 1930s.
The milled edge gives a delicate detail and texture to a strong setting.
