Rose-cut, white diamond with a platinum, Olive leaf engraved milled edge band.
The classic symbol of peace and friendship, the Olive leaf represents reconciliation, healing and a strong bond.
Rose-cut diamonds are an historical cut dating back to the 1400s, they have a different shape to the more usual modern cut diamond, flat on the bottom with a faceted dome on the top resembles an opening rosebud
The type of setting is 'cut-down' which a very old way to set diamond a diamond; the small claws are cut away from the setting instead of being added to the setting afterwards, this makes a very strong and hard wearing mount and also adds to its vintage appearance.

The ring is entirely handmade [as opposed to cast] by our skilled mounter here in London.
