3.0mm width diamond, 18ct yellow gold and platinum ring.
This ring has a yelllw gold band with floral carved shank, and platinum setting.
Featuring a stunning Rose-cut white diamond and cut-down setting.
Rose-cut diamonds are an historical cut dating back to the 1400s, they are a different shape to the usual modern cut, as they are flat on the bottom and have a faceted dome on the top, which is said to resemble an opening bud of a rose!
The setting is called 'cut-down' which a very old way to set diamonds.
The small claws are cut away from the setting instead of being added to the setting. This makes a very strong and hard wearing mount and also adds to its historical look.
This ring is entirely handmade (as opposed to casted) by our experienced mounter here in London.
This means that every ring is unique.
