ENGAGEMENT RING COLLECTION

Our engagement rings featuring stunning Rose-cut white or Opaque natural diamonds and hand carved bands.

They are entirely handmade by our experienced mounter, setter & engraver here in London. This means that every ring is unique.

Rose-cut diamonds are an historical cut dating back to the 1400s, they are a different shape to the usual modern brilliant cut, as they are flat on the bottom and have a faceted dome on the top, which is said to resemble an opening bud of a rose!

The setting is called 'cut-down' which a very old way to set diamonds. The small claws are cut away from the setting instead of being added to the setting. This makes a very strong and hard wearing mount and also adds to it's historical look.

ABOUT OUR RINGS

We make our rings to order so they are specific to each customer, this takes a three to five week turn-around to complete {depending on style}, so orders must be placed five weeks before your wedding day.

All our rings are handmade in London using techniques unchanged in hundreds of years!

All engraving is done by hand by our skilled engraver {above right}, using tiny chisels. Our diamonds are set by our experienced setter {above left} and sourced ethically and are 'blood free'.

Most of our wedding rings are available in either:

9ct gold { yellow or rose }

palladium { court shape only}

18ct gold { yellow, rose or white }

platinum

You can choose from many different widths, from 2mm up to 6mm (depending on style).
We make rings for both Ladies and Gentlemen.

Prices vary depending on which metal and width.

* PLEASE NOTE: we have temporarily removed our price list as our prices are due to rise as of 1st August 2011*

*N.B. a 2 - 5% surcharge may apply for Extra large ring sizes, please contact us for more information about this.

ENGRAVING ~
We can engrave a personal message or date onto the inside or outside of any width of ring. This is charged at £2.50 per character {punctuation £0}. Average 25 - 40 characters will fit onto our rings depending on ring size.

DIAMONDS ~
To add a diamond will cost an additional price per stone.

Brilliant Cut Diamonds:
£40 ~ 1mm stone
£50 ~ 1.5mm stone
£75 ~ 2mm stone
£115 ~ 2.5mm stone

Princess Cut Diamonds:
£50 ~ 1mm stone
£60 ~ 1.5mm stone
£85 ~ 2mm stone
£125 ~ 2.5mm stone

PLEASE NOTE: These prices are for setting within a wedding ring, the stone has to be 0.5mm smaller than the width of the band.

You can choose from either white or black diamonds or even a *ruby or sapphire.

RUST holds firm to the concept of authenticity and craftsmanship. Our jewellery is handmade in London and our precious metals are hallmarked at the St.Paul's Assay Office, London.

Our ideas come from the Antique markets around London, and from pictures in books about history. We love finding treasures and making them into jewellery or just being inspired by them.

‘Traditionally unusual’ is what we look for, and London is full of that!

Tranoi shows are held at 4 different venues throughout the centre of Paris each season.
They are the concept of the owners of the L’Eclaireur shops in Paris.

Trunk Shows

RUST also makes an appearance four times a year at various Trunk shows at Japanese department store 'Barneys New York' in Tokyo & the 'Edition' shops, also in Tokyo.

The designers of RUST

Nao Utsumi has been living in London since he was just 18 years old, he fled his native Japan with the dream of making shoes at Cordwainers, the most formidable shoe school in Britain.
During his time there he realised another talent and passion for jewellery making and thus RUST was born…

After gaining BA Hons in Fine Art at Falmouth, Cornwall in 2001, Artemis Russell, originally from the Isle of Wight, has been living in London and joined RUST in 2003…
and Nao & Artemis married in 2010!

Now RUST is double, and since opening a shop in the Harujuku area of Tokyo, RUST invites you, to visit us at our tiny, top floor, victorian workshop right here in Hatton Garden, London.
